Public Information Meeting Notice Project ID: 6446-01-00 T Wolf River, Apache Avenue Alder Creek Bridge P-70-0049 Winnebago County The Town of Wolf River, in cooperation with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), is proposing to replace the Alder Creek bridge along Apache Avenue, located approximately 0.9 miles west of the intersection of Apache Avenue and County H in the Town of Wolf River, Winnebago County, WI. The proposed project would involve removing and replacing the existing bridge and reconstruction of the approaches to the bridge, as well as a section of streambank realignment. Apache Avenue would be closed during construction and no detours would be posted as alternative routes are available. Access would be maintained for local residences and emergency vehicles. Construction is anticipated for the summer of 2026. Minimal real estate (less than 1 acre) is anticipated to be required to complete the project. An in-person Public Involvement Meeting will be held on November 7 from 5:00-6:00 pm at the Town of Wolf River Town Hall, located at 8800 County Road II, Fremont, WI 54940. Project representatives will be available at that time to discuss the proposed project and address any questions or concerns. A Power Point presentation detailing the project will also be made available on the Town of Wolf River website from October 24 through December 7, 2024. The objective of this Public Outreach is to provide adjacent property owners, interested citizens, and public officials with an opportunity to comment on the design for this improvement. Stat. § 66.1003. The public way proposed to be discontinued is located as follows: Part of First Street, Seifert’s Plat of Round Lake, being part of the Southeast ¼ of Section 27, T. 14 N.-R. 19 E., Town of Osceola, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin.
