That Sections 2.01 (1) & (2) of the New London Municipal Code shall be amended to read as follows: 2.01 (1)REGULAR MEETINGS (Am. Ord. #646; Am. Ord. #792; Am. Ord. #849, 1235). Regular meetings of the Council shall be held in the Council chambers of the Municipal Building on the Third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 P.M., except when the day so designated shall fall on a legal holiday or if the day so designated shall fall immediately after a legal holiday or on election day, then such meeting shall be held as changed by consent of the Common Council. CITY OF WEYAUWEGA, WAUPACA COUNTY, WISCONSIN AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CITY OF WEYAUWEGA COMPREHENSIVE PLAN: 2024 UPDATE STATE OF WISCONSIN City of Weyauwega, Waupaca County SECTION I - TITLE AND PURPOSE The title of this ordinance is the City of Weyauwega Comprehensive Plan: 2024 Update Adoption Ordinance. The purpose of this ordinance is for the City of Weyauwega, Waupaca County, Wisconsin, to lawfully adopt an amended comprehensive plan as required under Wis. Stat.§ 66.1001(4)(c). SECTION II - AUTHORITY The Common Council of the City of Weyauwega, Waupaca County, Wisconsin, has authority under its village powers under Wis. Stat. § 60.22, to appoint a city plan commission under Wis. Stat. §§ 60.62(4) and 62.23(1), and under Wis. Stats.§ Chapter 66.1001(4), to adopt this ordinance. The comprehensive plan of the City of Weyauwega must be in compliance with Wis. Stat. 66.1001(4)(c), Wis. Stats., in order for the Common Council to adopt this ordinance. SECTION III - ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE This ordinance, adopted by a majority of the Common Council on a roll call vote with a quorum present and voting and proper notice having been given, provides for the adoption by the City of Weyauwega of a comprehensive plan under Wis. Stat.§ 66.1001( 4). SECTION IV - PUBLIC PARTICIPATION The Common Council has adopted written procedures designed to foster public participation in every stage of the preparation of a comprehensive plan as required by Wis. Stat.§ 66.1001( 4)(a). SECTION V - CITY PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION The Plan Commission of the City of Weyauwega, by a majority vote of the entire commission, recorded in its official minutes, has adopted a resolution recommending to the Common Council the adoption of the City of Weyauwega Comprehensive Plan: 2024 Update, which contains all of the elements specified in Wis Stat.§ 66.1001(2). SECTION VI - PUBLIC HEARING The City of Weyauwega has held at least one public hearing on this ordinance, with notice in compliance with the requirements of Wis. Stat.§ 66.1001(4)(d). SECTION VII - ADOPTION OF CITY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN The Common Council, by the enactment of this ordinance, formally adopts the document entitled City of Weyauwega Comprehensive Plan: 2024 Update under Wis. Stat.§ 66.1001( 4)(c). SECTION VIII - SEVERABILITY If any provision of this ordinance or its application to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or applications of this ordinance that can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable. SECTION IX- EFFECTIVE DATE This ordinance is effective on publication or posting. The City Clerk shall properly post or publish this ordinance as required under Wis. Stat.§ 60.80, and a copy of the ordinance and the comprehensive plan, shall be filed with at least all of the entities specified under Wis. Stat.§ 66.1001(4)(b). Adopted this 19 day of August, 2024. ORDINANCE No. 10/15/24(2024) An Ordinance Amending the Established Speed Limit in the Shampine Acres Subdivision Section 1: As per state statute 346.57{j) and 349.11 the Town has the authority to modify the speed limits based on All Traffic Solutions traffic study and an engineering investigation study completed in August 2024. Section 2: Speed restrictions are as follows: A: No person shall drive a motor vehicle in excess of 25mph in the Shampine Acres Subdivision including Pine Lane, Parkview Way, Park Court, Park Lane, Piney Circle, and Timber Line Road. Section 3: The Town Board shall cause official signs giving notice of the speed limit to be erected in such a manner and location as to give adequate warning to users of the road. Section 4: This Ordinance shall take effect on and upon passage and publication according to law. TOWN OF LEROY DODGE COUNTY, WISCONSIN TRAFFIC CONTROL ORDINANCE ARTICLE 1. TITLE This ordinance is entitled the Town of LeRoy Traffic Control Ordinance. ARTICLE 2. STATE TRAFFIC LAWS ADOPTED Except as otherwise specifically provided in this Chapter, the statutory provisions in Ch. 23, Ch. 30.50 to 30.71, Ch. 30.80, Ch. 30.99, Ch.167, Chs. 340 to 348 and §941.01(1), Wis. Stats., describing and defining regulations with respect to vehicles and traffic, inclusive of any provisions therein relating to penalties to be imposed and exclusive of any regulations for which the statutory penalty is a term of imprisonment, are hereby adopted and by reference made part of this Chapter as if fully set forth herein. Any act required to be performed or prohibited by any statute incorporated herein by reference is required or prohibited by this Chapter. Any future amendments, revisions or modifications of the statutes incorporated herein are intended to be made part of this Chapter in order to secure uniform statewide regulation of traffic on the highways, streets, roads and alleys of the State of Wisconsin. Sections of the Wisconsin Statutes adopted herein shall have the same number in this code proceeded by (4.) and may be so cited. ARTICLE 3. OFFICIAL TRAFFIC SIGNS AND SIGNALS A. Procure and Erect Signs. The Town Chairperson and/or Town Board are hereby authorized and directed to procure, erect or cause to be erected and maintain appropriate standard traffic signs, signals and markings conforming to the rules of this Chapter as required by State Law. Signs shall be erected in such locations and manner as the Town Board shall determine will best effect the purposes of this Chapter and give adequate warning to users of the street or highway. B. Removal of Unofficial Traffic Signs and Signals. The Town Chairperson, Town Board, and/or Sheriff’s Department subject to the approval of the Town Chairperson or Town Board, shall have the authority granted by §349.09, Wis. Stats., and are hereby directed to order the removal of a sign, signal, marking or device placed, maintained or displayed in violation of this Chapter or §346.41, Wis. Stats. Any signs which impose any immediate safety risk to pedestrians, vehicular traffic, or the public at large may be removed by the Town without prior approval but only after ascertaining, if possible, that permission has not been granted by Town Officials for posting of said signs. Any charge imposed on a premises for removal of an illegal sign, signal, or device shall be reported to the Town Board at its next regular meeting for review and certification. ARTICLE 4. INTERFERENCE WITH SIGNS AND SIGNALS PROHIBITED No person may intentionally damage, deface, move, or obstruct an official traffic sign or signal or neighborhood watch sign under Wis. Stat. § 60.23 (17m), as amended, or § 66.0429 (2), as amended, or intentionally interfere with the effective operation of such sign or signal. ARTICLE 5. PENALTY Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall be subject upon conviction thereof to a forfeiture of not less than $50 nor more than $300 for each offense, together with the costs of prosecution. Each violation and/or each day a violation occurs or continues to exist shall constitute a separate offense. ARTICLE 6. SEVERABILITY In the event that any provision(s) hereof are determined to be contrary to any existing or future law or otherwise unenforceable, such determination shall not affect or impair the operation or enforcement of those provisions that are valid. ARTICLE 7. EFFECTIVE DATE This ordinance shall take effect one day after its passage and publication as provided by law. Dated this 14th day of October, 2024.
