N O T I C E CITY OF MERRILL TAXPAYERS The Board of Review for the City of Merrill will meet on, Monday, October 14, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers. This meeting is a statutory meeting to hear appeals from the Assessment Roll of the City of Merrill. The Board of Review will meet for a minimum of two hours. Anyone wishing to appear before the Board of Review may obtain an objection form from the Clerk/Treasurer’s office at City Hall. Objection forms should be completed and returned to the Clerk/Treasurer’s office by Friday, October 11, 2024. An appointment to appear before the Board of Review will be scheduled for all persons returning a completed objection form. No person shall be allowed to appear before the Board of Review, to testify to the board by telephone or to contest the amount of any assessment of real or personal property if the person has refused a reasonable written request by certified mail of the assessor to view such property. The municipality or county shall provide by ordinance for the confidentiality of information about income and expenses that is provided to the assessor under this paragraph and shall provide exceptions for persons using the information in the discharge of duties imposed by law or of the duties of their office or by order of a court.
